I AM A MAN Plaza in Memphis, United States

I AM A MAN is an art structure that pays tribute to the Sanitation Strike in 1968. Black Sanitation Workers took to the streets in March of 1968 in protest of fair working conditions and wages. "I AM A MAN" was printed on their signs.

This has to be one of my favorite murals in the city! Similar to the structure, this mural pays homage to the Sanitation Strike of 1968 that happened right here on Main Street.
