Jasmine Caceres
New Orleans has some outstanding restaurants but sometimes you need a quick bite to start the day or between bar stops when crawling Bourbon Street.

Café Beignet does get crowded especially on weekends and you may have a short wait if you don’t arrive to early but they apparently have the BEST beignets in New Orleans! And I can personally vouch for their sandwiches, especially the Muffuletta (a NOLA staple).

Dat Dog in New Orleans, United States

Dat Dog is a prime spot when you need a quick bite between or post drinks. It’s affordable and the menu is simple yet surprisingly unique. The focal point of the menu is their extensive list of sausage varieties from a Vienna all-beef frank, to Polish kielbasa, to alligator sausage. And of course the topping list for both their sausages and fries is also extensive. For my vegan friends, no worries, you have four vegan-friendly sausages to choose from.

Cafe Du Monde French Market in New Orleans, United States

Cafe Du Monde may be popular and frequented but that hasn’t diminished the quality. The beignets are great, but the frozen coffees are out of this world - seriously, they’re so good that I bought one one morning and another to leave in my hotel mini fridge for later.

NOLA Poboys was my saving grace after a less than satisfying (and overpriced) meal. Always trust the locals, because being pointed in the direction of NOLA poboys leds to me having the best shrimp poboy (with everything) and sausage/chicken gumbo I’ve ever had in my life.
