Restaurants in Westchester County, NY

Westchester is a suburb of New York City that is approximately 40 minutes by train from Grand Central. Despite the fact that it is more residential, it has many nice towns with great places to eat.

  The Taco Project is a great Mexican restaurant in Tarrytown which is a very nice town as well with lots of great restaurants. You can see the Hudson River from town and walk all the way down to it as well. You can even cross the newly built Cuomo Bridge that is really beautiful and will take you to Nyack which is another very nice town. Besides the beauty of Tarrytown, the burritos from the Taco Project are one of my personal favorite things to get here. The tacos are also very good and they always have great specials. In addition to the food, I also get an horchata or a Mexican hot chocolate depending on the time of year. This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Westchester so if you like Mexican food, this is the first place you should go to.

  The Kneaded Bread isn't a restaurant but it is a bakery that serves coffee and has the best sandwiches to go. My personal favorite that I get every time I go is the tuna sandwich. I have never had a better tuna sandwich in my life. The bread here is also to die for and they have endless options. You will be happy with anything you get from this bakery.

  Bareburger is a great burger place, especially if you have dietary restrictions. They have amazing vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options. You can make your own burger also which I recommend doing. But is you don't want to make your won burger, my go to burger is the Guadaloupe burger. The milkshakes and fries are also a must get if you go here.

  Village Social is another restaurant in Rye which I love for their great food and the fact that it is in Rye. Rye is full of shops and is a nice town for walking around as well. The food at Village Social is very good but has also a wide range of dishes like fried rice but also pizza. There is no defined cuisine here they just cook great food.

  The Granola Bar has a few locations but the one in Rye is great because Rye is a nice town to walk around. There are many shops, cafes, and restaurants to go to. The food at the Granola Bar is always delicious. My personal favorite is the avocado grilled cheese with an additional soft egg inside that makes all the difference. They also have great smoothies and beverages.

  Bartaco is a very popular restaurant in Westchester County. Many people from nearby town come here to eat for the food and the ambiance here. The ordering system is very fun and the menu has many options for every dietary restriction. It is also very kid friendly. I recommend going in the summertime because you can sit outside by the water which has a nice view.

  These are hands down the best donuts in Westchester. They are made freshly in front of you by order and have an endless range of flavors to chose from. You can even create your own combination of toppings which I usually do and love because I get to try out cool things I know I would personally love. The Nutella dipped donuts are excellent and so are the Oreo ones.

  Maple and Rose is a new restaurant that does great brunch and is very nice inside. There are big windows to there is lots of light and the design inside is very pretty. They also have great hot drinks and baked goods for sale.

  Modern is a more expensive Italian restaurant but has amazing food. The pizza is amazing and all other dishes as well, especially the pasta. The restaurant itself is very nice as well and they have valet parking.

  Roaster's Cafe has really great food and great coffee as well. They are a Turkish style cafe so they have Turkish coffee and Turkish delights. But the food is not just Turkish. They have classics such as burgers and avocado toast. Another great brunch place!

  you may have hear of Walter's hot dogs. Well there is Walter's in Mamaroneck and there is always a line. I personally go for the curly fries because they are delicious and have the best seasoning. If you go I would recommend a hot dog of course and a side of curly fries. They have good desserts too!

  New Rochelle has many great Mexican restaurants. But this one in particular is one of my favorites because of their burritos. They are big and filled with tasty vegetables and beans and rice. Everything from the menu is bound to be good here but if you are up for it, get yourself a burrito and you won't regret it.

  Patsy's has great pizza and Italian food in general. The restaurant gives right onto the marina so the view it beautiful and it is exceptionally nice in the summer because they have seating outdoors overlooking the marina.
