Places I Want To Go in 2022
Madeleine Ray
It's a fresh new year and this is officially my travel vision board. Feeling nostalgic for times past in 2022 I want to revisit some of the most important places I have traveled in my lifetime, and maybe check off a few new bucket list items. From Tokyo to Vancouver, this is my entirely personal 2022 travel wishlist that is sure to be added onto frequently.
Quebec City, Paris, Washington D.C., New York, Vancouver, Seoul, Tokyo
Quebec City in Quebec City, Canada
Paris in Paris, France

I haven't been to Paris since I was a young girl and all the years between my last trip and my future dream vacation builds in anticipation. A romantic dinner in a glittering bistro munching on escargot (don't judge) is all I can think about right now. With so many breathtaking museums to explore, sights to see, and shopping to do, Paris is high on my 2022 bucket list.

Washington D.C. in Washington, United States

I visited DC for the first time in 2019, and I was entirely charmed by this cozy yet exciting destination. I hope to do a full tour of all the historical monuments, old neighborhoods, and iconic museums in the spring- along with ample time spent beneath freshly bloomed pink cherry blossom trees.

New York, United States

NYC is never a bad idea, and as many times as I visit the city, I never truly feel like I have seen enough by the time I have to say "goodbye". My plan for 2022 is to embrace the magic of fall in NYC and have a spectacular, crispy leaved, pumpkin-flavored vacay in late October. Thrift shopping in Brooklyn, Halloween decorations, and old bookstores- sounds like a spooky good time.

Vancouver in Vancouver, Canada

I visited Canada for the first time in 2019 and have yet to visit this famously gorgeous destination. As a major fan of Nanaimo bars (a chocolately Canadian pastry), being so close to its birthplace will be a true delight. I imagine a late spring getaway exploring pristine natural landscapes and strolling along the shoreline during the evening.

Seoul, South Korea

Seoul is a glimmering city, full of excitement and fun. I am a big fan of Korean food, and I am ready to get creamy banana milk from the convenience store and fresh Tteok Poki from a street stall. Seoul is famous for both its breathtaking scenery and bustling city life. South Korea has remained open for tourism, so my 2022 goal is to have a summer excursion to this beautiful destination.

Tokyo in Tokyo, Japan

I miss the neon-colored nights, the tranquil parks decorated with candy-pink cherry blossoms, the effortless combination of old and new. Tokyo is easily one of the most dynamic and exciting travel destinations on the planet. I spent over five years studying in Tokyo, and it is one of my top go-to destinations as soon as tourism re-opens.

Quebec City is a little slice of paradise akin to a fantastical theme park that includes gorgeously preserved architecture, delicious food, and a touristy atmosphere that is not overwhelming. With such a calm vibe, so many excellent views, and the most delicious food in the world (I am *not* exaggerating), Quebec is a perfect getaway year-round.
