This tiny island near Venice, Italy, has one of the creepiest haunted histories that goes back to the 14th century. At that time, in fact, Europe was suffering from the Bubonic Plague and Poveglia became the "quarantine island". Many say you could still hear screaming voices at nighttime even though no one lives there anymore. Today, it's prohibited to visit the island for either locals and tourists.
