The last weekend in July is always a big party in downtown Davenport, Iowa and the entire Quad Cities with the Quad-City Times Bix 7 road race and the festivities surrounding the race on Saturday morning. This year we are adding the 50th anniversary of RAGBRAI and 30,000 cyclists so it is sure to be an even bigger celebration in the QC. We are dubbing that weekend as #BixBRAI weekend and here is what's happening in downtown Davenport! There are even more events happening throughout the Quad Cities.

The Davenport Skybridge is a pedestrian-only, cable-stayed bridge that has color-changing kaleidoscope lighting with 228 LED fixtures. It connects downtown Davenport, Iowa, with LeClaire Park, 400 Beiderbecke Dr., and the Mississippi Riverfront. There is an observation deck with a view of the Mississippi River, and the downtown skybridge entrance is located right next to the Common Chord, 131 W. 2nd Street.

Baseball in the Quad Cities has seen an emphatic resurgence! The River Bandits moniker that was brought back in 2008 is one with a rich history in the Quad Cities. The club had originally been called the River Bandits from 1992-2003, a period that in many ways was the gold standard for baseball in the Quad Cities.
